Amy was the wedding photographer in Tuscany, Italy at Certosa di Pontignano followed by Fattoria di Corsignano for Dan & Marie’s wedding.
The weather in central Italy has been wonderful for what seems like months already. I reckon, when it’s lovely in May, it really is the best time of year. No flies, not too much sweating (!), bright blue skies and lovely and warm. Luckily for me, I had a double-wedding weekend and the weather didn’t disappoint. In fact, it was perfect.
Dan, Marie, their family and friends had come over from the United States for their Tuscany wedding. Their venue, Fattoria di Corsignano, is a wonderful place as it really shows off Tuscany at its very best. A farmhouse set in 22 hectares, teeming with vineyards and olive trees. Corsignano produce around 40,000 bottles per year of wine, vinsanto, grappa and olive oil.
Dan & Marie travelled just a mile or two down the road to get married in church at Certosa di Pontignano: a gorgeous place with a garden, great views and cloisters. Then it was back to Fattoria di Corsignano for aperativi around the pool, a delicious and traditional meal and of course a party.
All arranged by the wonderful Jackie from Marry Me In Tuscany.
See what you think!
Jackie’s weddings always have the most amazing flowers. This florist is a genius with roses:

One of the first things that Marie said to me when I arrived was ‘please give me any tips, I’m not photogenic.’ Mmmm, hands up if you completely disagree!! This is so simple and yet so stunning:
Go on – show me your garter!!:
