Wedding Photographer: The Cloisters, Sorrento: Jon & Helen

Amy was the photographer in the Cloisters, Sorrento, Italy for Jon & Helen’s wedding.

Hello! It’s been a while I realise but with my busiest summer of all time, I made the decision early on to save my blog for the winter! So, here we go, I have to transport myself back to a very sunny June day in Sorrento for the wedding of Jon & Helen. It was a really lovely day: the Bride & Groom got ready in separate hotels that were just down the road from each other allowing me to photograph them both getting ready. The Cloisters is always gorgeous for a wedding ceremony and after a short photo shoot around Sorrento old town we all headed up the hill to a restaurant with the most wonderful views. Here we go:

The first of many trips to Sorrento during Summer 2015:

Wedding Photographer: Villa Antiche Mura, Sorrento: Anthony & Suzette

Amy was the photographer at Villa Antiche Mura, Sorrento, Italy for Anthony & Suzette’s wedding.

My last trip to Sorrento for my last wedding of the year and I was, once again, at Villa Antiche Mura. This wedding provided the biggest and best of days to wrap up another wedding season. 12 hours of nothing but fun basically! Anthony & Suzette were so chilled out and the guests were wonderful.

We had plenty of time for a great photo shoot between the ceremony in the Cloisters before we headed to Villa Antiche Mura. We even ended up asking a local if we could borrow his moped for 5 minutes to use as a prop! The guests were already in full flow when we got back to the villa and the evening was amazing and included a crazy Photo Booth! Here we go:

Hotel La Favorita: a great choice for getting ready.

Wedding Photographer: Foreigner’s Club, Sorrento: Barry & Louise

Amy was the photographer in the Cloisters and at The Foreigner’s Club, Sorrento, Italy for Barry & Louise’s wedding.

Do you like the new-look blog? Apparently, WordPress have stopped supporting the old theme so it was time to update!

Skip back to the end of August 2014 and a very hot day in Sorrento. This time for Liverpudlian-couple, Barry & Louise, and I have to say, one of the most chilled-out couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing! Views from the hotel where they both got ready were wonderful and then it was to the Cloisters for the ceremony. After a photo-shoot around town we joined the rest of the guests at The Foreigner’s Club where the party was already in full-swing. Here we go:

I’m not sure that this huge room in The Foreigner’s Club is used very often during the summer. I rather like it!

Lots of laughs and so chilled out. Thanks so much. Amy x

Wedding Photographer: Villa Antiche Mura, Sorrento: Stuart & Sarah

Amy was the photographer at Villa Antiche Mura, Sorrento, Italy for Stuart & Sarah’s wedding.

Mentally whisking myself back to a beautiful, hot day in Sorrento for the gorgeous wedding of Stuart & Sarah in mid-July (I know, I know – I’ve never been so behind with my blog but we have just moved house!)

The best make-up girl out there, Zoe Graham, did Sarah’s make-up for her. She looked so gorgeous. The Cloisters looked lovely too as Sarah had opted for a white carpet aisle rather than the usual red. After the ceremony, Group Shots under the shady Cloisters and a fun photo-shoot around town, we headed to Villa Antiche Mura – one of Sorrento’s most impressive wedding venues.

After the meal and speeches, the staff laid out the tastiest-looking desert table (I did have a little taste ;-) That was followed by lots of partying and even a Photo Booth. Loved it!

To be honest, this was a bit of an experiment and took quite a lot of goes to get right – I think it came out pretty well in the end!

Huge thanks again to Michele, villa owner and brilliant wedding planner for looking after me so well. Thanks too to Sarah & Stuart, family and friends for such a fun day. Amy x

Wedding Photographer: Sorrento: John & Leona

Amy was the photographer in the Cloisters and at The Grand Hotel La Favorita, Sorrento, Italy for John & Leona’s wedding.

After my run of 12 weddings, I enjoyed a whole week off before I headed back down to Sorrento for the lovely wedding of Irish couple, John & Leona. Leona got ready at The Grand Hotel La Favorita which is also where the reception took place whilst the ceremony took place just around the corner from the hotel in The Cloisters.

Leona’s two sisters were her Bridesmaids who helped her to get ready along with Mum & Dad. The day was very relaxed and the evening was beautiful as the wedding party enjoyed the sunset from the roof terrace of the hotel over-looking Sorrento and the Bay of Naples. Take a look:

I love the reflections of the Bridesmaids in this shot.

Bride & Groom

Beautiful.

This cocktail bar is great to photograph in – lots of different coloured lights and reflections.

The heat can make getting the ring on a bit tricky!

Bride & Groom

The Cloisters is always a lovely spot for the group shots.

Bride & Groom

Love this one.

Still in The Cloisters. It’s only quite small but there are lots of lovely photographs to be had.
