Wedding Photographer: Siena Town Hall & Il Chiostro del Carmine, Siena, Tuscany: Andy & Vicky

Amy was the photographer at Siena Town Hall & Il Chiostro del Carmine, Siena, Tuscany, Italy for Andy & Vicky’s wedding.

Followers of this blog will know just how much I love to photograph in Siena Town Hall: the rich colours, beautiful ceiling and the breath-taking surrounding rooms make it really exciting for me. I was so happy to be there for Andy & Vicky’s relaxed wedding day. After the ceremony we ran over to the Palio Bar on the other side of the Piazza. We ran since the heavens had opened! It soon dried up though and we had time for photographs on the way to the lovely Chiostro del Carmine.

A really fun atmosphere and I’m sure, a brilliant evening! Here we go:

Wedding Photographer: Siena, Tuscany, Italy – Siena Town Hall & Guido Restaurant: Dave & Jo

Amy was the wedding photographer at the Town Hall in Siena, Tuscany, Italy for Dave & Jo’s wedding.

Photographing a wedding in Siena Town Hall is always a treat and having met Dave & Jo for lunch in Cortona a few days before their wedding day, I knew that this wedding was going to be great fun – it didn’t disappoint. Autumn days in Italy can be some of the best of the year – crisp, warm enough to be comfortable and that gorgeous orange light that is so complimentary. Dave & Jo have got wonderful families, a great bunch of mates and they know how to party! After Siena Town Hall, an hour or two in the Palio Bar in Siena’s main piazza (Il Campo) was followed by a fab evening in Guido Restaurant. Great atmosphere, an exceptional meal, hilarious speeches, Chinese lanterns (!) and a good old boogie – nuff said!

I struggled to select my favourites! I especially love the detail and product images – many thanks must go to the wonderful Siena wedding planner, Jacqueline Bradshaw from Marry Me In Tuscany who I always look forward to working with.

Stunning bouquets.

Really like this shoe shot – it’s a little different.

Looking good Dave :-)

I really like the perspective of this make-up shot.

Look at Dave on the left-hand side of this image – it was his exact view as he saw his gorgeous bride for the first time. I love the way that one of his ushers is looking at his reaction from the other end of the room too.

Such a richly-coloured room.

A really funny moment captured during Jo’s Mum’s speech. We thought the place was going to go up in flames for a moment or two. Lucky the Italians are pretty relaxed about these things!

Told you the speeches were hilarious!

I really hope that I get to meet you two again. You’re a brilliant couple and I really enjoyed your company both over lunch in Cortona and on your wedding day. Didn’t we have a laugh?! xxx

Wedding photographer: Siena Town Hall & Villa Vistarenni, Tuscany, Italy: Andrew & Kaatje

Amy was the wedding photographer at Siena Town Hall & Villa Vistarenni, Tuscany, Italy for the wedding of Andrew & Kaatje.

Andrew & Kaatje were married on the 31st July at Siena Town Hall. It was, without doubt, the most relaxed I have ever seen a Bride and Groom on their wedding day. They got ready together, travelled together to Siena and entered the ceremony room together. Kaatje even had an ice-cream before the ceremony! (It was lemon-flavoured though to match the dress – just in case!)

We have photographed at Siena Town Hall many times and I still believe that it’s a photographers dream room; beautiful, rich light – evident in one of the images below.

The couple had rented Villa Vistarenni near to Radda in Chianti for the week which is where they got ready and held their evening reception. The 360 degree views of Tuscany stunned the guests as the sun went down over the olive groves. The day was rounded off perfectly by our great friends Marco Marconi on piano accompanied by his quintet, including his wife Sally Ann on vocals – brilliant.

Andrew & Kaatje’s beautiful baby girl, Matilda, gets dressed up for the occasion.

Thanks for a great day folks. I know you’re desperate for the rest of your images – I promise, I’m working as quickly as I can but we do have a bit of a back-log. I hope that these are enough to whet your appetite and that it will be worth the wait in the end. Chris & Liz – you’re up next! – Amy.
