Wedding Photographer: Kew Gardens, London: Dave & Michelle

Amy was the wedding photographer at Kew Gardens, London for Dave & Michelle’s wedding.

I can’t tell you just how excited I was to fly to London and photograph a wedding at Kew Gardens. How could the Royal Botanic Gardens not make the perfect location to get married?? Not only that but I was very much looking forward to be part of Dave & Michelle’s big day since the last time I saw Dave was 17 years before in the school library!

The Nash Conservatory is very elegant and the lightest indoor place I have ever photographed a ceremony. Dave, Michelle and I were driven around in a buggy for a while after the ceremony stopping at some beautiful places for photographs whilst the guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the impressive Princess of Wales Conservatory. After that we moved to The Orangery – a stunning building with a white interior and exterior. The whole day was really sensational. Look:

An elegant affair.

Due to the cold spring this year, the colours weren’t quite as prominent as they should have been, but it’s still a beautiful place.

Love this one – look at the colour of that building!

I think this is a laburnum. Please let me know if I’m wrong!

Wedding Photographer: Home House, London: John & Lucy

Amy was the wedding photographer at Home House, London, UK for John & Lucy’s wedding.

I travelled to London on the Wednesday proceeding John & Lucy’s Saturday wedding and enjoyed a few days with friends and the shops. I first met Lucy at her Mum’s beautiful house where she and her sisters were getting ready. Lucy was so relaxed as she prepared whilst Daisy, her little niece, kept everyone entertained.

A short trip through London and we arrived at Home House. What a swanky place! As soon as I walked in, I knew that I was going to have to fun with the camera! The ceremony wasn’t until 5pm so the light of day had well and truly gone which made me have to think and use my flash to the best of my ability.

John was ready and waiting for Lucy to arrive and the evening rolled. Everyone laughed, cried, ate a lot and danced – just how a good wedding should be!

Here we go:

Wedding Photographer: London, UK – St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey & The Lansdowne Club: Edwin & Kate

Amy was the wedding photographer in London, UK at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey followed by The Lansdowne Club for Edwin & Kate’s wedding.

Wedding Photographer at The Lansdowne Club, Mayfair – I’ve looked forward to this wedding for ages. Not only that but when I realised exactly where St Margaret’s Church was, I nearly fell off my chair! Despite the soggy weather, it very much lived up to all expectations (despite being a wee bit limited in Church). As the groom, Edwin, approached the church the tourists stepped aside. The beautiful bride, Kate, arrived perfectly on time, the ceremony went without a hitch and, right on cue, as we exited St Margaret’s, the soggy weather cleared and there were even patches of blue above.

After a group shot of everyone in front of St Margaret’s Church (a replica of one of the parents’ wedding images) we hopped on the double deckers and made our way to swanky Mayfair venue, The Lansdowne Club. As you’ll see from the image below, the room was stunning, the view from the balcony was a photograph not to be missed and the evening rolled along nicely as the champagne flowed.

Take a sneaky peak:

St Margaret’s Church is to the left of Westminster Abbey. Stunning.
