Wedding photographer: Palazzo Viviani, Castello di Montegridolfo, Emilia Romagna, Italy: Kevin & Aurora

Andy & Amy were the wedding photographers at Palazzo Viviani, Castello di Montegridolfo, Emilia Romagna, Italy for the wedding of Kevin & Aurora.

After a couple of showery days in Emilia-Romagna, the weather returned to normal (i.e. dry & sunny) just in time for Kevin & Aurora’s wedding on Saturday.  Both they and their guests were staying at the incredible Palazzo Viviani in Castello di Montegridolfo and they travelled to the nearby San Donato church in Belvedere Fogliense for their ceremony before returning to the Castello for the reception.

Irish weddings are always incredibly lively & this was no exception.  It really was a superbly-organized day and if Kevin ever opted for a different career, he’d make a great wedding planner!

On with just a few glimpses of the day:

When we arrived, Kevin said that Amy had the easy job.  He wasn’t wrong.  Simply beautiful.

We absolutely love a couple of images taken whilst Kevin & Aurora ‘took a breather’ outside the church – giving their guests a head-start back to the Castello di Montegridolfo.

Beautiful light.  I managed to avoid getting run-over whilst lying in the road taking this.

Back at the Castello, I noticed that Aurora had vanished.  On looking down a tiny alley-way, I noticed her having her hair tidied.

Wow – what a beautiful day and a venue we’d highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect wedding location.  Back to the album design! – Andy

Wedding photographer: Castello di Rivalta, Piacenza, Italy: Gianni & Rachel

Andy & Amy were the wedding photographers at Castello di Rivalta, Piacenza, Emilia Romagna, Italy for the wedding of Gianni & Rachel.

We had a fabulous time in Emilia Romagna near Piacenza this weekend for Gianni & Rachel’s wedding which was on Saturday. So many people come to Italy for Summer weddings – and the obvious weather advantages and yet the winter weddings over here are equally gorgeous. Gianni & Rachel had chosen the stunning Church at La Rivalta as their wedding venue and with the amazing restaurant and luxury hotel all located together in the ‘Borgo’ – it made for a perfect day.

On with the ‘snaps’ :)

Ahem! Gianni will have to explain this one :)

We love the depth in this image.

The groom & best men.

Wow – beautiful.

Perhaps Rachel is reacting to Gianni’s singing :)

A lovely alleyway that connected the Church to the hotel. We used it again later as you’ll see.

Doesn’t that red really ‘pop?’

This will be particularly stunning in print.

Wait ’till you see the rest of the images! Thank you both for looking after us so thoughtfully – you have amazing friends & families & we really enjoyed ourselves. – Andy
