Wedding: Claudio & Helen – All Saints Church, Clifton & Tewin Bury Farm

Claudio and Helen were married on the 14th August at All Saints Church in the pretty village of Clifton in Bedfordshire.  Helen had been brought up in the village which ensured her celebrity status as she travelled with the car ‘top-down’ to the picturesque village church.  Being half-Italian, Claudio was cool and unflappable – that is, until his Dad got lost on his way to the church and arrived just in the nick of time, a minute or so before Helen!

It was a half-hour journey to the reception venue, Tewin Bury Farm and a beautiful converted barn set the seen for the wedding breakfast and an awful lot of laughs and banter throughout the speeches.  A real fun, lighthearted day was had by all and we got to catch up with Tom & Katharine whose wedding we had photographed just 3 weeks before in Northamptonshire.

Claudio; a very chilled-out groom.

Great shot Andy!  We don’t always have the ‘right’ place to do these kinds of shots, but we love to do them whenever we can.

Thanks for a great day folks!  Today is the wedding of Rick & Lucy at the Lido di Lenno on Lake Como so we’re off to get ourselves ready.  Neil & Stephanie; thanks for your patience – your bLOG post will be next :-)

  1. What a lovely account of your wedding day. I found this by googling Tewinbury Farm photos because we are about to put down our deposit for next year :-) Like you, we are going to get married in a church first (St Marys in Redbourn) and then off to the Tythe Barn. Did you think it made a good venue? Would you recommend it to us? I am a little worried about the guests having to drive 30 min drive from church so it was interesting to read that you came from a similar distance in Beds.
Anyway, just wanted to say I enjoyed reading about your day and seeing your photos. V beautiful bride and handsome groom,

  2. Hi Kate,

Sorry I have only seen this post. Thank you for your lovely comments!

Tewinbury was a fantastic venue, we had a brilliant day. The tythe barn is beautiful and weather permitting the outside area is great for drinks etc. The staff are also great, they really look after you so I would throuoghly reccommend Tewinbury. Our church was half an hour away and we felt that it wasn’t a problem. We got married at 1pm to allow for us to have a sit down dinner for 4:30pm. That meant that we left the church around 2pm so the guests got to tewinbury for around 2:30pm which allowed for time to have drinks/canapes before dinner.

Enjoy your wedding day! As I said you couldn’t ask for a better venue with such fantastic staff who really make the day go smoothly!
