Wedding Photographer: Casale Cardini, Foiano della Chiana, Tuscany: Robert & Arabella

Amy was the wedding photographer at Casale Cardini, Foiano della Chiana, Tuscany, Italy for Robert & Arabella’s wedding.

For early June, this day was absolutely burning hot. The beginning of the heat-wave which went on to be one of the hottest summers on record in Italy. Robert & Arabella had chosen a beautiful house to act as host to their wedding ceremony and reception close to the town of Foiano della Chiana in Tuscany. The courtyard was flooded in very strong light for the entire day until the sun set directly opposite the ceremony and reception location. We had a little respite from the blaze when a small group of us went into the town of Foiano so that Robert & Arabella could sign the official register. I had a little time for a wonderful photo shoot in amongst the ancient streets and used the shade to full effect whilst I had some! Take a look:

Wedding Photographer: Villa Rombolino, Tuscany: Matt & Ash

Amy was the wedding photographer at Villa Rombolino, Tuscany, Italy for Matt & Ash’s wedding.

This wedding was purely magical in every way. I arrived at Villa Rombolino, a private villa in Tuscany’s Val d’Orcia on a beautiful September day. The Bride was absolutely breath-taking, the Groom handsome, the place amazing, the Bridesmaids were all gorgeous and it had all been arranged by Elia from Super Tuscan Wedding Planners – we were in for a treat.

Rain did threaten but held off just before the ceremony which left us with the most wonderful sky. As the sun set, the sky turned bright red. I can’t find enough gushy words to describe this one so I’ll leave you with the images. Oh, perhaps I should say that it has been featured on international blog Style Me Pretty – that’s kinda’ cool hey?!

Love.

Wedding Photographer: Villa Belpoggio, Tuscany: Charles & Anita

Amy was the wedding photographer at Villa Belpoggio, Tuscany, Italy for Charles & Anita’s wedding.

Closing my eyes and taking myself away from mid-winter for a while and instead to mid-July. At the top of a Tuscan hill, Charles & Anita tied the knot in the most beautiful surroundings. Villa Belpoggio was a new location for me and I instantly fell in love with it. The ceremony took place in the shade of the trees, aperitivi was in a stunning courtyard whilst the wedding breakfast was next to the lit pool over-looking the vineyard. What really stood out for me about this wedding was the wonderful table settings and extra little details. Lots of inspiration for Bride’s & Groom’s to be!

Wedding Photographer: Villa Catignano & Siena, Tuscany: Laird & Chauncey

Amy was the wedding photographer at Villa Catignano & Siena, Tuscany, Italy for Laird & Chauncey’s wedding.

For me, this was one of the stand-out weddings of my summer season. Don’t get me wrong, they’re all wonderful days and I love each and every wedding that I photograph but I absolutely loved the way that Laird & Chauncey arranged their wedding and the venue and styling were just to die for.

Villa Catignano is a wonderful place to marry. The orange villa with its flowers, gardens, lemon trees, terracotta pots, courtyard, views are like something from a fairytale. Laird and Chauncey both got ready at the villa and then travelled into Siena with a small group of their closest friends and family for their legal ceremony in Siena Town Hall. They enjoyed a celebratory drink at a bar in Siena’s main piazza, some photographs in the square before we headed back to the Villa for a symbolic ceremony with all of the guests in the beautiful gardens.

Aperitivi followed and the most wonderful dinner on a beautifully-laid single, long table. If I were to marry again (sorry Andy!) then I think that what Laird and Chauncey arranged was just perfect. Take a look:

Wedding photographer: Castello di Vincigliata, Fiesole, Tuscany: Craig & Vanessa

Amy was the wedding photographer at Castello di Vincigliata, Fiesole, Tuscany, Italy for the wedding of Craig & Vanessa.

And so to one of my all-time favourite venues: Castello di Vincigliata and the wedding of Craig & Vanessa. I couldn’t wait to see these two again as we had had a really good laugh in Cortona months before when I was invited to their food-tasting (terrible but someone had to …)

A wedding sponsored (well, kind of) by Jo Malone; Vanessa had used the colour-scheme and elegance of the products to shape her wedding and with a huge helping hand from Jacqueline Bradshaw, my wonderful wedding planner friend, it all came together beautifully.

The ceremony took place at a lovely church in the province of Fiesole, just outside of Florence and a short drive from Castello di Vincigliata – a venue chosen by quite a few celebs in the last few years. The photographs say it all:
