Amy was the wedding photographer at Casale Cardini, Foiano della Chiana, Tuscany, Italy for Robert & Arabella’s wedding.
For early June, this day was absolutely burning hot. The beginning of the heat-wave which went on to be one of the hottest summers on record in Italy. Robert & Arabella had chosen a beautiful house to act as host to their wedding ceremony and reception close to the town of Foiano della Chiana in Tuscany. The courtyard was flooded in very strong light for the entire day until the sun set directly opposite the ceremony and reception location. We had a little respite from the blaze when a small group of us went into the town of Foiano so that Robert & Arabella could sign the official register. I had a little time for a wonderful photo shoot in amongst the ancient streets and used the shade to full effect whilst I had some! Take a look:
Bloomin!
Robert looked great in his light-linen suit – the perfect choice for the weather.

The ceremony location – beautiful.
Congratulations!
A well-earned drink!
In Foiano now, outside the Comune building.
Love this one.
Happy Couple.
Lovely little streets of Foiano della Chiana.
So happy.
I like the contrasting light in this one.
Back to the Casale for some gorgeous-looking grub!
All the guests stripped off and jumped in the pool. I was so jealous!
What a setting!
Lovely light as the sun sets.
In amongst the lavender.
Tuscan views.
One of my favourites of the day.
The heat was a killer and the strong sunlight was challenging at times but it was a wonderful day, organised impeccably by Elia and his great team from Super Tuscan Wedding Planners. Thank you Robert & Arabella. Amy x
