Wedding Photographer: Parco Negombo, Ischia: Mark & Whitney

Amy was the wedding photographer at Parco Negombo, Ischia, Italy for Mark & Whitney’s wedding.

This was my third trip to the beautiful island of Ischia, an hour or so by boat from Naples. I was really excited to go back, it’s such a gorgeous place. Mark and Whitney had travelled all the way from Chicago to marry on the island and had chosen a very unique venue, Parco Negombo to tie the knot. If you ever go to the island of Ischia, then do take a day out to go and truly relax at Parco Negombo. Pools, saunas, jacuzzi’s, waterfalls, hammocks, a private beach and a large pool sit in and amongst the craggy rocks and luscious surroundings. It’s stunning.

Cafe Colonica is a restaurant in the Parco and take a look below, the styling for the wedding meal was genius. Something very different!

Wedding Photographer: Albergo Il Monastero, Castello Aragonese, Ischia: John & Sema

Amy was the wedding photographer at Albergo Il Monastero, Castello Aragonese, Ishcia, Italy for John & Sema’s wedding.

How excited was I to go back to the stunning island of Ischia for the wedding of John & Sema?! Sema and I had chatted so much via email before the big day that we felt like we already knew each other really well from the moment that I arrived. Castello Aragonese on Ischia is an incredibly impressive sight and well worth a visit if you’re on the island. The beautiful-refurbished hotel ‘Albergo Il Monastero’ is situated within the walls of the Castle with wonderful views over the island.

The atmosphere was electric for the entire evening and the party was only just starting when I left at 1:30am. I didn’t really want to leave but I was on a 6:30am boat the next morning off the island. Sniff sniff!

Castello Aragonese, Ischia. What a place!

How gorgeous is Sema!

Love this one too.

The ancient ruins of the cathedral. Isn’t this the most amazing place to get married?!

Big smiles!

What can I say. Honestly, I didn’t want to leave. I kept having to remind myself that I was actually working and your big day reaffirmed that I have the best job in the world. Thank you so much for being so brilliant. Amy x

Wedding Photographer: Ischia, Punta Molino Hotel: James & Nina

Amy was the wedding photographer in Ischia, nr Naples, Italy for James & Nina’s wedding.

So then, from the Amalfi Coast, we travelled to the beautiful Island of Ischia, just off Naples for the wedding of friends of two of our best friends. I hadn’t been to Ischia before and was in for a treat. A couple of days off between weddings allowed me to explore the Island a little and I soon realised that I would definitely be returning for a holiday. It reminded me of Hawaii!

The 17th of June was an exceptionally hot and bright day which made lighting conditions quite tricky for a while but once the sun had begun to drop, that incredible pink light made a lengthy appearance and I was a very happy camper. Nina’s infectious laugh made for some great captures and there was a real party atmosphere.

I love my job more and more every day! I get to visit incredible places that perhaps I would never have got to otherwise. Thank you so much to James & Nina for introducing me to beautiful Ishcia. I’ll be back!
