Andy & Amy were the wedding photographers in the Dordogne at the Chateau Le Mas de Montet for the wedding of Martin & Rachel
We spent a few days in the Dordogne (France) last weekend in order to photograph Martin & Rachel’s wedding at Chateau Le Mas de Montet. After a couple of beautifully warm days, we were all surprised to wake up to an overcast & wet Saturday! The ceremony was switched from outdoors to a beautiful room in the Chateau and the enclosed space made for a really intimate ceremony. As fortune would have it, the weather cleared up later in the day offering everyone the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and, later in the evening, the fireworks.
It was also great to catch up with Dave & Nina (we photographed their wedding last year in Siena) and see so many of their friends & relatives who shared both of these lovely weddings.
As we’re away from home, we don’t have the means to ‘work’ these images – but here are a few to give you an idea of what’s to come:
Le Mas de Montet – this is actually out of sequence, as it was later in the day when the sun made an appearance and lit up the building, but it sets the stage perfectly for the images that follow. Check out the large Redwood in the foreground.
A confetti moment.
I was going to put this into black & white but if you can see the colour of this little guy’s eyes together with the boquet colour, you’ll understand why it stays this way.
Martin & Rachel were just getting ready for a large group photograph. I like the way they are the only ones paying attention whilst Amy is trying to gather everyone else together.
Maggie – a VIP (Very important pooch!)
And finally, from the Mitterrand suite looking out at the couple on their balcony.
That’s all for now – we’re in and out of internet contact whilst we’re travelling for this week’s weddings; if we don’t reply straight away to your emails, that’s why. Ciao! – AndyGoogle+
