Amy was the wedding photographer in Florence at Chiesa dei Santi Michele e Gaetano, Piazza Antinori & in Fiesole at Castello di Vincigliata, Tuscany, Italy for the wedding of Stephen & Sarah.
Having been the wedding photographer at James and Victoria’s wedding in Fiesole and then at ‘Castello di Vincliata’ last year, I was really looking forward to returning to Tuscany again. I LOVE it! I also LOVE photographing weddings when the families are from Ireland as I know that I’m going to be in stitches all the way through the speeches – that Blarney stone has got so much to answer for!
Stephen & Sarah got ready in different hotels both located in Piazza Santa Maria Novella in central Florence and then walked through the beautiful streets to the breath-taking church Chiesa dei Santi Michele e Gaetano in Piazza Antinori for the ceremony. Father John, the Great-Uncle of Sarah had married Sarah’s grandparents and parents and now had the honour of marrying Stephen & Sarah – his third generation family wedding. Quite something.
Here we go:
Stephen on the terrace of the Grand Hotel Minerva, Florence:
I really loved Sarah’s unusual dress, she looked absolutely beautiful:
I told you so!
Quite an entrance:
Haha! Having a 7 month-old daughter myself I know where this guest is coming from!
What are they drinking?!
What a happy day it was. Sarah’s two sisters were her bridesmaids, dressed in beautiful Vera Wang gowns:
One of my favourite wedding photographs of the year so far:
It wasn’t just me: everyone struggled to contain themselves during the hilarious speeches:
Look at the size of that cake!
Stephen & Sarah – your wedding was gorgeous and you made me feel so very welcome. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope your cruise was fantastic and I’ll be in touch soon.
