Wedding Photographer: Chateau Soulac, Dordogne, France: Tim & Roo

Amy was the photographer at Chateau Soulac, Dordogne, France for Tim & Roo’s wedding.

Well, well, well. What to say about this wedding?!

I flew out to Bordeaux on Friday the 25th May for the wedding of Tim & Roo which spanned the entire weekend. They had hired the most beautiful chateau just an hour from Bordeaux in the heart of the Dordogne. At this point, it’s difficult to find words to describe the chateau. It was ‘perfect.’ I loved every single thing about it.

Tim, Roo and their 90 guests had an absolute ball. An experience that they and I will certainly never forget and I can’t thank them enough for welcoming me to the party the way that they did. A big ‘hello and great to catch up’ with my best friends Adele & Ben too.

Having photographed for 14 hours, I have found it tricky to choose the images for the blog and have ended up displaying a few more than normal. Take a look:

The beautiful Chateau Soulac.

Now they are what you call ‘shoes!’

I absolutely love this shot as Tim & Roo meet at the top of the aisle.

Ceremony, Chateau Soulac

The intimate ceremony took place on the lawn outside of the chateau, in the shade of a huge tree.

Whilst the guests drank champagne and ate canapes around the back of the chateau, Tim, Roo and I spent some time at the front.

After the group shots there was more time to photograph Tim & Roo around the chateau’s pool. This shot obviously doesn’t show the pool but it was just off to the left!

Beautiful views.

The barn was kept a secret to the guests before the wedding breakfast began. They were all in for a treat as it was decorated so wonderfully. No detail had been forgotten. Well done to Jo & James Bussell for your hard work and dedication – lovely to meet you both.

Such fun!

Whilst the guests ate, the light over the chateau got better and better so I went for a little wander (between courses!).

So atmospheric in the barn.

This was taken at about 11:30pm but (apparently) Tim & Roo were still on the dance-floor at 5:30am!!

What a ball! A huge thank you for flying me out to France for your wedding extravaganza. I love your attention to detail – from the sign on Grandad’s door to re-hydration powder and paracetamols for all of your guests! Thanks too for the fun and games on Sunday – I have a set of photographs following from then too. Your complete gallery won’t be long – you’ll be the first to know. -Amy xx
