Wedding Photographer: St Johns Church, Walton Gardens, Cheshire: Ben & Liz

Amy was the wedding photographer at St Johns Church, Walton Gardens, Cheshire for Ben & Liz’s wedding.

I had been waiting for this day to come around FOREVER!! Liz, the Bride, and I met when we were about 3 years old and were pretty much inseparable throughout infant and junior school. We remained close through high school too and in fact, have never really lost contact.

What an honour it was to photograph one of my oldest friends (not in age of course!) and her wonderful new husband Ben. Liz looked amazing in her 3/4 length dress – always one to do things a little different hey?! It was so much fun to be surrounded by old friends and Liz’s family who I’ve pretty much known for my whole life.

The wedding took place just a couple of miles down the road from where I was brought up and where I enjoy taking my children to now when I return to the UK. And a tipi!! I’d never photographed in a tipi before. Take a look!

Wedding Photographer: Streamcombe Farm, Somerset: Duncan & Caroline

Amy was the wedding photographer at Streamcombe Farm, Somerset, UK for Duncan & Caroline’s wedding.

I love coming back to the UK for weddings and this one was a real cracker. The perfect quintessential ‘English’ country wedding. Beautiful country church for the ceremony followed by the wedding reception on a farm. Gorgeous florals, a naked cake and lawn games – this wedding was like the most eye-catching Pinterest Board.

It was very special for me since the Bridesmaid, chief-organiser and Sister-of-the-Bride was one of my very best friends, Charlotte. Take a look:

Wedding Photographer: Halle St Peters, Manchester: Phil & Eve

Amy was the wedding photographer at Halle St Peters, Manchester, UK for Phil & Eve’s wedding.

So, my second wedding in the week that I was in the UK in August was a very special one for me. It’s not often that I photograph family or friends but this time, the Bride was someone that I had known from the day that she was born. Our parents were and are still best friends. I love weddings where I already know so many people – including my own parents of course :-)

Halle St Peters in the Ancoats area of Manchester is a wonderful venue. A deconsecrated church, it actually provides rehearsal and recording space for the Orchestra as well as hosting community projects and obviously, weddings. What I especially loved was the area. It’s up-and-coming but not yet hip-and-trendy. It’s industrial and gritty and I LOVED photographing in the surrounding streets. This was a really beautiful album so, in order to see more images, I am showing album pages again:

Wedding Photographer: The Ashes Barns Country House, Stoke-on-Trent: Ash & Beth

Amy was the wedding photographer at The Ashes Barns Country House, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire UK for Ash & Beth’s wedding.

Mid-August 2015 and I took a well-earned rest from the intense Italian heat and flew back to the UK with the family in tow. My trip covered 2 weddings, the first was the wedding of Ash & Beth at The Ashes near to Stoke-on-Trent; a beautiful venue that Olympian swimmer Rebecca Adlington had chosen just a few weeks before.

I’d met Beth before when she was a Bridesmaid at the wedding of Ric & Claire in Sorrento the previous year. I thought I’d travelled a long way for the wedding but Ash & Beth now live in Australia and had travelled home to get married with their gorgeous little boy who was the star of the show. Take a look:

Wedding Photographer: Willington Hall, Cheshire: Patrick & Hayley

Amy was the wedding photographer at Willington Hall, Cheshire for Patrick & Hayley’s wedding.

Into my 8th year of photographing weddings and I finally got to photograph a family wedding! Patrick is my cousin and Hayley, his gorgeous new wife. My daughter and I travelled back to Cheshire where all of my family were really excited for the big event and party!

Willington Hall is a wonderful venue and the weather was absolutely perfect. Everything went without a hitch and I think half of Cheshire could have heard the sound of laughter throughout the speeches. It was a real honour to photograph this stunning wedding and I got to see everyone at the same time! Here we go:
