Wedding Photographer: Malcesine Castle & Al Corsaro, Lake Garda: Matthew & Dinah

Amy was the wedding photographer at Malcesine Castle & Al Corsaro, Lake Garda, Italy for Matthew & Dinah’s wedding.

No sooner did I land back into Umbria and I packed up the car for Lake Garda and Malcesine, which I now know like the back of my hand! Malcesine Castle followed by a reception at Al Corsaro was the order of the day for the intimate, romantic and emotional wedding day of Matthew & Dinah. Laughter and tears all day long but over all, a very, very happy day.

Matthew, all ready and waiting for Dinah to arrive.

Wedding Photographer: Malcesine Castle & Al Corsaro, Lake Garda: Mike & Donna

Amy was the wedding photographer at Malcesine Castle & Al Corsaro, Lake Garda, Italy for Mike & Donna’s wedding.

Back up to my old favourite – Malcesine on Lake Garda. I honestly know this little place like the back of my hand now. Luckily, I love it and could never tire of going. I met up with Mike and his guys first and we had some time for photographs in the beautiful Palazzo dei Capitani. This was great fun and Mike was very happy to stay in the shade given that temperatures were hitting 40 degrees once again. Would this heat-wave never end?
Donna got ready in a gorgeous apartment on the edge of town and I loved the way that the couple did a private ‘reveal’ about an hour before the ceremony at the Castle. Being witness to such a special moment is a huge honour.
The ceremony in the castle was lovely. Photographs around town afterwards followed by a wonderful and emotional reception at Al Corsaro. I love this venue – it’s hidden away, the views are gorgeous and the food is divine – a great choice and a great day overall. A quick peek:

Wedding Photographer: Malcesine Castle, Lake Garda: Neil & Louise

Amy was the wedding photographer at Malcesine Castle, Lake Garda, Italy for Neil & Louise’s wedding.

I stayed up at Lake Garda as just 2 days after Phil & Lianne’s wedding, I was there to capture the wedding of Neil & Louise. The heat-wave continued and Neil & Louise had arranged a very relaxed, low-key affair. Lots of fun and laughter all day long. After the day, they were off around Italy for their honeymoon with a load of their friends. Brilliant!

Love Louise’s hair-style.

Wedding Photographer: Malcesine Castle & Al Corsaro, Lake Garda: Phil & Lianne

Amy was the wedding photographer at Malcesine Castle & Al Corsaro, Lake Garda, Italy for Phil & Lianne’s wedding.

Back up to beautiful Lake Garda and the wedding of Phil & Lianne at Malcesine Castle followed by a reception at Al Corsaro. I’ve photographed in both venues on many occasions and know Malcesine town and the Castle like the back of my hand however, this wedding offered a new adventure for me and that was a trip over to the town of Limone. I’ve travelled nearby on boats many times but have never had the opportunity to jump off the boat and see the town itself. I loved it! It’s very colourful and was great for the guests and it made for an activity-packed wedding day.

Just outside of the bar that we stopped at in Limone, there was a fountain that reminded me exactly of the one at the start of Friends. The bridesmaids had bright umbrellas and so I had great fun behind the lense for the half hour that we were there. Take a peek:

Wedding Photographer: Malcesine Castle & Casa degli Spiriti, Lake Garda: Jonathan & Laura

Amy was the wedding photographer at Malcesine Castle & Casa degli Spiriti, Lake Garda, Italy for Jonathan & Laura’s wedding.

Just a few short days at home with my girls and I was back up to Malcesine, Lake Garda. Lucky I like it there! This time Jonathan & Laura, child-hood sweethearts from the North East were getting married at Malcesine Castle. After the ceremony we made our way up the mountain-side to the most wonderful spot and the very beautiful restaurant, Casa degli Spiriti. The views from so high really are breath-taking and Laura had such a huge smile on her face for the entire day that this wedding was an absolute pleasure to capture. Take a look:
