Amy was the wedding photographer at the Comune of Gardone Riviera and The Grand Hotel, Gardone Riviera, Lake Garda, Italy for Rob & Cheryl’s wedding.
Seems funny looking back at roaring hot wedding days just 6 months ago when central Italy right now is experiencing sub-zero temperatures and snow.
Rob & Cheryl had a very small number of guests making for an intimate day in Gardone Riviera, a very pretty town, close to Salò, on the south west side of Lake Garda. Rob and his family had been guests to the hotel for many, many years and knew all of the staff. It’s a huge place with beautiful views and gorgeous gardens. Take a look:
The Comune building is up a very steep still – plan on a car even though it’s a very short distance!
Look at the size of those hydrangeas!
One of my favourites.

A relaxed and fun day all-round. Thanks for having me. -Amy x
Amy was the wedding photographer at the Chiesa del Carmine, Montone, Umbria, Italy for Paul & Jo’s wedding.
So finally, after almost 10 years of living here in Umbria, I finally got to photograph a wedding in what I class as my ‘local’ town. Where we go several times a week and where we are considered ‘locals.’ Montone. This is the perfect, hill-top town and luckily for us, a hidden gem.
Paul and Jo were ridiculously laid-back and the perfect couple to have in front of my camera on this very special occasion. They even allowed my husband to video me photographing them (are you keeping up?!) allowing us this snippet on my new website. (NB. The video on the top banner will only work on a laptop / computer and not on a portable device.)
Before & after the ceremony, drinks and photographs in Montone, Chiesa del Carmine played host to the wedding party. A beautiful structure in a beautiful position in the heart of Umbria. Many thanks go to Chrissie and her team for doing an extraordinary job that day.
This piazza is my second home.
My husband and one of my daughters snook into this shot!
Not only is the town beautiful but the views that surround it are OK as well.
Chiesa del Carmine.
Thanks so much to Paul & Jo for making me feel like a guest and thanks too for the invite to the pizza night the evening before your wedding – a great opportunity to get to know everyone. Come back soon! Amy x
Amy was the wedding photographer in Anghiari, Tuscany, Italy for Leo & Holly’s wedding.
I was super-excited to photograph Leo & Holly’s big day as it was just down the road from where I live in a beautiful town, just over the Umbrian border and into Tuscany, called Anghiari. I had been to Anghiari on several occasions and so relished the thought of photographing a wedding in this impressive little town. The wedding itself took place at the most magical little church in the hills behind the town and the Bride got ready at the venue where the reception took place afterwards – Relais Il Pozzetto. A stunning place in the hills about 20 minutes from Anghiari and just 1km from the church.
Thanks so much to Carine from Il Pozzetto for such wonderful hospitality. Here are some pages of Leo & Holly’s gorgeous album:
A wonderful and fun day in a VERY beautiful place. What more could I ask for! Thanks, Amy x
Amy was the wedding photographer at Villa Catignano & Siena, Tuscany, Italy for Richard & Biljana’s wedding.
Back to what I think is a winning Tuscany wedding day combination – Siena and Villa Catignano. It doesn’t matter how many times I go to Siena, I always feel excited when I enter into the main piazza. If you’ve not been, go. That’s my best advice.
Biljana, whose family are from Moldova, and Richard from the UK were married in the beautiful Town Hall, Siena. We had time for some photographs in and around town afterwards with the Bridesmaids in tow before we headed back to the wonderful Villa Catignano. This is one of the venues that I would recommend if you are considering a wedding in Tuscany. It’s just gorgeous:
Just a few drops of rain during our photo session in Siena but it didn’t hold us back at all.
Biljana wanted to dance in the quiet back-streets of Siena.
Back at Villa Catignano now and the beautiful orange, terracotta and yellow colours still provide great backdrops.
When the Father-of-the-Groom catches the bouquet!!
A beautiful day. Thank you. Amy x
The blog post that I wrote and published yesterday about the beautiful wedding of Richard & Nasrin at La Foce has been so well-received that I thought I’d quickly follow it up with Part 2. The day after the wedding, in the early evening, I met up with Richard and Nas again for a photo shoot in Tuscany. We just had an hour or two and were so incredibly lucky with the light.
We spent the first part of the shoot in the gorgeous town of San Quirico d’Orcia and after that we literally drove around and found places on the side of busy and fast-moving roads or on private driveways! We ended the shoot with a walk off the beaten track to a stunning little chapel literally in the middle of nowhere. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks to Richard & Nas for this wonderful opportunity – one of my highlights as a professional photographer. Now for the album … Amy x
