Wedding Photographer: St Johns Church, Walton Gardens, Cheshire: Ben & Liz

Amy was the wedding photographer at St Johns Church, Walton Gardens, Cheshire for Ben & Liz’s wedding.

I had been waiting for this day to come around FOREVER!! Liz, the Bride, and I met when we were about 3 years old and were pretty much inseparable throughout infant and junior school. We remained close through high school too and in fact, have never really lost contact.

What an honour it was to photograph one of my oldest friends (not in age of course!) and her wonderful new husband Ben. Liz looked amazing in her 3/4 length dress – always one to do things a little different hey?! It was so much fun to be surrounded by old friends and Liz’s family who I’ve pretty much known for my whole life.

The wedding took place just a couple of miles down the road from where I was brought up and where I enjoy taking my children to now when I return to the UK. And a tipi!! I’d never photographed in a tipi before. Take a look!

Wedding Photographer: Willington Hall, Cheshire: Patrick & Hayley

Amy was the wedding photographer at Willington Hall, Cheshire for Patrick & Hayley’s wedding.

Into my 8th year of photographing weddings and I finally got to photograph a family wedding! Patrick is my cousin and Hayley, his gorgeous new wife. My daughter and I travelled back to Cheshire where all of my family were really excited for the big event and party!

Willington Hall is a wonderful venue and the weather was absolutely perfect. Everything went without a hitch and I think half of Cheshire could have heard the sound of laughter throughout the speeches. It was a real honour to photograph this stunning wedding and I got to see everyone at the same time! Here we go:

Wedding Photographer: Spirit Restaurant, Warrington, Cheshire: Anthony & Eloise

Amy was the wedding photographer at Spirit Restaurant, Warrington, Cheshire, UK for Anthony & Eloise’s wedding.

As a teenager, I was a gymnastic coach in my home-town Warrington. I coached Eloise when she was just 6 years old until she was 11 and so it was an absolute honour to photograph her as a Bride. The beautiful church of St Mary’s with its modern and light interior played host for the wedding ceremony and then we went on to newly-furbished Spirit Restaurant in Victoria Park.

Take a peak:

I spent half an hour with Anthony and the boys at Anthony’s parent’s house before they left for the church.

Complete Wedding: Peckforton Castle

I reckon the best bit of advice that anyone could give you about choosing your wedding photographer would be to make sure that you have a good look through a few ‘complete’ weddings. It’s not too difficult to get together a handful of wonderful wedding photographs after taking the thousands that many do, but a complete wedding album will really tell you whether or not a photographer is right for you.

I’ve just updated my Complete UK Wedding from 2010 with Matt & Katy’s wedding at Peckforton Castle in May. So, if you’ve spent ‘forever’ looking through wedding photography websites and are getting a bit boggle-eyed, grab a glass of wine and a comfy chair then click here and ‘view slideshow.’

Can you see yourselves in these images? Drop me a line :-)

Wedding photographer: St. Christopher’s Church, Pott Shrigley & Shrigley Hall Hotel, Cheshire, UK: Richard & Rebecca

Amy was the Wedding Photographer at St. Christopher’s Church, Pott Shrigley & Shrigley Hall Hotel Cheshire, UK for the wedding of Richard & Rebecca.

On the 19th of June, Richard & Rebecca were married in the beautiful, rural village of Pott Shrigley in Cheshire. Rarely have I come across a more relaxed bride as Rebecca, tucking into a sandwich as soon as she was ready and the dress was on! The day flowed with the same relaxed vibe as the morning preps and the Vicar followed suit by sharing holiday anecdotes as part of the sermon.

Richard beamed all day long and the weather stayed warm and blue – in fact, don’t want to speak too soon but all of my recent weddings, whether in Italy or the UK, have been glorious.

An eclectic mix of tasters to be going on with:

Whilst Rebecca was doing her make-up in the mirror, these two rubber ducks caught my eye:
