Wedding Photographer: Villa Catignano & Siena, Tuscany: Richard & Biljana

Amy was the wedding photographer at Villa Catignano & Siena, Tuscany, Italy for Richard & Biljana’s wedding.

Back to what I think is a winning Tuscany wedding day combination – Siena and Villa Catignano. It doesn’t matter how many times I go to Siena, I always feel excited when I enter into the main piazza. If you’ve not been, go. That’s my best advice.

Biljana, whose family are from Moldova, and Richard from the UK were married in the beautiful Town Hall, Siena. We had time for some photographs in and around town afterwards with the Bridesmaids in tow before we headed back to the wonderful Villa Catignano. This is one of the venues that I would recommend if you are considering a wedding in Tuscany. It’s just gorgeous:

Wedding Photographer: St Johns Church, Walton Gardens, Cheshire: Ben & Liz

Amy was the wedding photographer at St Johns Church, Walton Gardens, Cheshire for Ben & Liz’s wedding.

I had been waiting for this day to come around FOREVER!! Liz, the Bride, and I met when we were about 3 years old and were pretty much inseparable throughout infant and junior school. We remained close through high school too and in fact, have never really lost contact.

What an honour it was to photograph one of my oldest friends (not in age of course!) and her wonderful new husband Ben. Liz looked amazing in her 3/4 length dress – always one to do things a little different hey?! It was so much fun to be surrounded by old friends and Liz’s family who I’ve pretty much known for my whole life.

The wedding took place just a couple of miles down the road from where I was brought up and where I enjoy taking my children to now when I return to the UK. And a tipi!! I’d never photographed in a tipi before. Take a look!

Wedding Photographer: Tuscany

The blog post that I wrote and published yesterday about the beautiful wedding of Richard & Nasrin at La Foce has been so well-received that I thought I’d quickly follow it up with Part 2. The day after the wedding, in the early evening, I met up with Richard and Nas again for a photo shoot in Tuscany. We just had an hour or two and were so incredibly lucky with the light.

We spent the first part of the shoot in the gorgeous town of San Quirico d’Orcia and after that we literally drove around and found places on the side of busy and fast-moving roads or on private driveways! We ended the shoot with a walk off the beaten track to a stunning little chapel literally in the middle of nowhere. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Wedding Photographer: La Foce, Tuscany: Richard & Nasrin

Amy was the wedding photographer at La Foce, Tuscany, Italy for Richard & Nasrin’s wedding.

This beautiful wedding took place in one of the most stand-out venues of my entire 10 years of doing this job. La Foce in the Val d’orcia is simply stunning. Look it up online and you’ll see a fabulous aerial shot of it (unfortunately one that I couldn’t get!)

Richard, Nasrin, their daughters and their friends and families had come over from Australia and were absolutely smitten with the place – as you would be. Take a look:

This one was a real pleasure to capture. The people and the place made for a magical day. Great work from Elia at Super Tuscan Wedding Planners too. Amy x

Wedding Photographer: Fattoria Terrarossa, Montepulciano: Tibor & Caroline

Amy was the wedding photographer at Fattoria Terrarossa, Montepulciano, Tuscany, Italy for Tibor & Caroline’s wedding.

One of my first weddings of 2016 was at the Fattoria Terrarossa, close to the famous Tuscan town of Montepulciano. When I first arrived, the rain was absolutely pouring down meaning that plans had to be changed and the ceremony had to be indoors. Still, the view from the room was magnificent and soon after the ceremony, the rain lightened and eventually stopped.

Tibor & Caroline had travelled all the way from their home on Grand Cayman to enjoy their beautiful wedding day in Tuscany. Here are a few of their album pages:

Caroline had said that she was not very keen on having her photograph taken and would feel self-conscience if she was asked to pose. This is a very common phenomenon of course and I have lots of little tricks up my sleeves to help out people who really don’t like being photographed. Caroline looks amazing in these photographs and I really think that she enjoyed having them taken :-)

I’m so glad the rain stopped in the end! Thanks so much for a lovely day. Amy x
