Wedding Photographer: Sorrento: John & Leona

Amy was the photographer in the Cloisters and at The Grand Hotel La Favorita, Sorrento, Italy for John & Leona’s wedding.

After my run of 12 weddings, I enjoyed a whole week off before I headed back down to Sorrento for the lovely wedding of Irish couple, John & Leona. Leona got ready at The Grand Hotel La Favorita which is also where the reception took place whilst the ceremony took place just around the corner from the hotel in The Cloisters.

Leona’s two sisters were her Bridesmaids who helped her to get ready along with Mum & Dad. The day was very relaxed and the evening was beautiful as the wedding party enjoyed the sunset from the roof terrace of the hotel over-looking Sorrento and the Bay of Naples. Take a look:

I love the reflections of the Bridesmaids in this shot.

Wedding Photographer: Villa Cortine Palace Hotel, Sirmione, Lake Garda: Wael & Lene

Amy was the wedding photographer at Villa Cortine Palace Hotel, Sirmione, Lake Garda, Italy for Wael & Lene’s wedding.

This was my 12th of 12 weddings in the month of June and what a finale it was! Villa Cortine Palace Hotel in the beautiful town of Sirmione on the southern coast of Lake Garda is an absolutely stunning hotel. 170 guests were treated to fabulous weather, fabulous views across the Lake and fabulous food. Guests had travelled from every corner of the earth to be there including the Middle East and Norway and there was real party atmosphere throughout the whole day. The room where the wedding reception took place was breath-taking and the smell of the many bouquets of flowers filled the air.

All that and what a stunning-looking couple! Take a look:

Wedding Photographer: Malcesine Castle & Casa degli Spiriti, Lake Garda: Mike & Jennifer

Amy was the wedding photographer at Malcesine Castle & Casa degli Spiriti, Lake Garda, Italy for Mike & Jennifer’s wedding.

I photograph several weddings each year at the stunning Malcesine Castle, Lake Garda and was glad to be back working somewhere I know so well for the wedding of Mike & Jennifer. Jen had hired the apartment at the entrance to the Castle which was a great place to get ready and kept the transport down to an absolute minimum. After a lovely ceremony and some photographs, we walked through town to the Al Gremal bar for drinks and aperitivi before heading half an hour up the hill to the most impressive, Michelin-starred restaurant, Casa degli Spiriti. A huge thunder storm hit us directly not long after we arrived which only added to the drama and the beauty of the place. Fabulous!

Wedding Photographer: Ravello & Palazzo Murat, Positano: Kristian & Clare

Amy was the wedding photographer in Ravello & Palazzo Murat, Positano, Amalfi Coast, Italy for Kristian & Clare’s wedding.

The day after John & Sema’s wedding on the island of Ischia, I hot-footed it back to the Amalfi Coast and to the dual-location wedding of Kristian & Clare. The Bride & Groom both got ready in different hotels in Positano before travelling along the beautiful Amalfi coastline to gorgeous Ravello to celebrate the wedding ceremony. Time for photographs in the main piazza afterwards before guests were surprised to a boat-ride from Amalfi harbour back to Positano. It was a bumpy ride but spectacular!

In Positano guests enjoyed ‘aperitivi’ and an evening meal and party at the stunning Palazzo Murat. Here we go:

Beautiful Positano.

Wedding Photographer: Albergo Il Monastero, Castello Aragonese, Ischia: John & Sema

Amy was the wedding photographer at Albergo Il Monastero, Castello Aragonese, Ishcia, Italy for John & Sema’s wedding.

How excited was I to go back to the stunning island of Ischia for the wedding of John & Sema?! Sema and I had chatted so much via email before the big day that we felt like we already knew each other really well from the moment that I arrived. Castello Aragonese on Ischia is an incredibly impressive sight and well worth a visit if you’re on the island. The beautiful-refurbished hotel ‘Albergo Il Monastero’ is situated within the walls of the Castle with wonderful views over the island.

The atmosphere was electric for the entire evening and the party was only just starting when I left at 1:30am. I didn’t really want to leave but I was on a 6:30am boat the next morning off the island. Sniff sniff!

Castello Aragonese, Ischia. What a place!
