Wedding Photographer: Castello di Meleto,Tuscany: Shabab & Rakhee

Amy was the wedding photographer at Castello di Meleto, Tuscany, Italy for Shabab & Rakhee’s wedding.

The 2013 wedding season kicked off with a super big bang with the Indian wedding of Shabab & Rakhee. I was so excited to photograph the colours, the costume, the games and traditions and I can honestly say that the entire day surpassed my expectations.

Castello di Meleto is a wonderful venue located in Chianti surrounded by olive groves and vineyards as far as the eye can see whilst the Castle’s interior has many little nooks and crannies in need of being photographed!

Bride Rakhee was beyond beautiful. From her gold shoes and henna’d feet up through the many layers of jewels to the scarf enshrouding her head, I was blown away. I loved the men’s outfits too and thought the whole day was just stunning. I’m sure you’ll agree:

Castello di Meleto, Chianti.

Shabab was very camera-shy so I just asked him to sit on this chair for a minute or two and do nothing! It actually turns out to be one of my favourite shots of the day.

Bride & Groom

The Bride’s side awaiting the Groom’s procession and the ribbon ceremony where the guys have to offer money and perform to be allowed through and take the Bride’s hand in marriage. The ladies had 6 of the men wearing bra’s over their clothes and dancing to Gangnam Style – hilarious!

Bride & Groom

So, so beautiful.

Bride & Groom

Love this one too.

The start of the ceremony: Shabab is hidden behind a big white sheet at this point.

Bride & Groom

Wonderful setting.

Bride & Groom

Stunning detail.

Bride & Groom

Post ceremony drinks and a particularly gorgeous guest!

Bride & Groom

The Bride & Groom play games with all of the guests cheering them on. Traditionally, the Bride and Groom would have only just met so these were to ‘break the ice.’

Bride & Groom

I was allowed lots of time to photograph Rakhee & Shabab in and around the Castle grounds. Love the natural feel to this shot.

Bride & Groom

Big smiles!

Bride & Groom

I fell in love with a very tiny and very ancient theatre hiding away behind a door leading from the courtyard. Love this!

Bride & Groom

The reception begins and the Bridesmaids and other guests tuck into the delicious ‘aperitivi.’

Bride & Groom

Jams, marmalades, honeys, mustards and a very interesting ‘gelatine’ balsamic vinegar – all to go with the copious amounts of pecorino of course!

Bride & Groom

Catching up.

Bride & Groom

Tables all ready for the wedding party. Look at the colour and light in this stunning room.

Bride & Groom

Place names of the important pair.

Bride & Groom

Beautifully positioned wedding cake.

Bride & Groom

The Master of Ceremonies in full flow.

Bride & Groom

Lots of laughs throughout the 3 speeches.

Bride & Groom

Congrats!!

Shabab & Rakhee, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your big day despite it being my first Indian wedding experience. I absolutely LOVED every minute of it! Full set of photographs will follow soon. Enjoy your honeymoon you lucky things! -Amyxx
