Wedding Photographer: St Andrew's Church, Nuthurst & Denne Meadows Cottage, Horsham, West Sussex, UK: George & Rachel

Amy was the Wedding Photographer at St Andrew’s Church, Nuthurst & Denne Meadows Cottage, Horsham, West Sussex, UK for the wedding of George & Rachel.

I was so excited for last Saturday’s wedding in West Sussex. I had met George & Rachel before at one of my best friends, Gaz’s wedding, who happens to be George’s brother. Again the weather played its part and remained warm and sunny all day long – especially great as the reception was held in a marquee in the grounds of George’s parents’ estate.

A little extra pressure for this one as Rachel has recently graduated from university with a degree in photography and wants to become a Wedding Photographer!

Here’s a few images to whet your appetite:

I really love this unusual shot, taken in Rachel’s living room:

Again in the living room, this time with Mum & Dad:

I’m not so keen on ‘setting up’ the signing of the register shot. At the very least, I always try and make it look as ‘natural’ as possible:

The strong sunlight was quite challenging to control but I think that this shot is simple and flattering:

I’m looking forward to finding out where George has taken Rachel on honeymoon as he had managed to keep it a secret from just about everyone! A lovely day folks and great to catch up with Gaz and Anna and meet lovely little Beth.

Wedding Photographer: Castiglione del Lago & Il Borgia, Lake Trasimeno, Umbria, Italy: Charles & Ellie

Amy was the Wedding Photographer at Castiglione del Lago & Il Borgia, Lake Trasimeno, Umbria, Italy for the wedding of Charles & Ellie.

Wouldn’t like to speak too soon but I reckon, as far as wedding photographers go, I’m pretty lucky. Sunny and hot for the wedding in Malcesine on Monday followed by heavy storms and rain later in the week, followed by a baking-hot day for the wedding of Charles & Ellie on Saturday. Almost on my doorstep, a castle in Umbria on the shores of Lake Trasimeno played host to the wedding party and guests, with a trip to the beautiful town of Castiglione del Lago thrown in. Charles and Ellie actually had two ceremonies: a legally-binding civil ceremony in Castiglione del Lago followed by a blessing at the castle. They really made the most of their wedding day as preparations for the midday ceremony were well underway when I arrived before 10am, and the party was just getting going when I left after 10pm.

Here’s a sneak preview.

A lovely moment. The Father of the Bride helped Ellie with her dress and jewellery:

Once an island, Castiglione del Lago has beautiful lake views:

Wandering through the town, a store owner offered the Bride & Groom a glass of prosecco. The Italians love a wedding!

Back at the Castle and Ellie attached a stunning train to the back of her dress.

More and more Brides and Grooms are asking for this style of group shot. Please ask, they’re fun to create!

Wedding Photographer: Malcesine Castle, Lake Garda, Italy: James & Amber

Amy was the Wedding Photographer at Malcesine Castle, Lake Garda, Italy for the wedding of James & Amber.

It doesn’t matter how many times I visit the Italian Lakes, the scenery and beautiful towns always blow me away. Malcesine is one of my favourite places of all time to visit and to photograph weddings in the magical Malcesine Castle is nothing short of a privilege. A boat ride after the ceremony was great fun and the weather was gorgeous all day – perhaps a little too hot even!

Every detail – flowers, button holes, head-dresses, even the bridesmaid’s dresses had been hand-made by the same lady. A brilliant idea on a hot day as the flowers don’t wilt but look lovely all day long:

Every Bride knows how quickly that last hour passes when you’re getting ready! It was all hands on deck to finish off Amber’s hair:
