Canvas prices slashed

Due to developments in printing technology, these products are being produced at more competitive prices than ever.  Whilst your high-street shop may be able to supply these cheaply, the quality is often nothing more than awful.  Often, they fade extremely quickly and many that we’ve seen are poorly mounted on frames rather than a block of MDF.  The images themselves are printed without any regard for colour management because it ‘costs’ to get right.

Our new range of canvases are absolutely stunning.  Your carefully-colour-corrected image is wrapped around a chunk of sturdy MDF (not a frame) and finished with the utmost attention to detail.  We’re able to discount our old prices by at least £100 for every canvas in our range.  Check out your online gallery for all of the pricing options.

Wedding photographer: The Chapel, Oswestry School & Sweeney Hall, Shropshire, UK: James & Jo

Andy & Amy were the wedding photographers at The Chapel, Oswestry School & Sweeney Hall, Shropshire, UK for the wedding of James & Jo.

It was a pleasure to spend a day as photographers with James & Jo last Friday, as they celebrated their wedding. As the title says, they were married at The Chapel, Oswestry School, which is a beautiful, intimate venue for a wedding. The guests sit sideways which allows everyone a good view of the wedding as you’ll see in some of the images below. Afterwards they were driven to Sweeney Hall Country House Hotel for their reception.

OK, here are some of their highlights:

A beautiful image of Jo having her makeup finished.

James with his proud Mum.

An idea of the chosen colour-scheme.

Mid-ceremony and a great view of the inside of the chapel.

Yup, the ring fits!

Even the babies were singing!

Outside the chapel afterwards. I don’t know if this is singing or something else entirely.

Love this – a great reaction to a funny moment.

James & Jo did an amazing first dance as you can see from the reactions of the guests in the background.

Finally, since they had a live band for their evening party, I’ve included a photograph of one of the musicians since we rarely feature them on the blog.

Thanks folks for a really great day – we loved it! Sorry it’s taken a few days to get something on the blog for you – hope the honeymoon is going great. – Andy

Update soon…

We’ve been away for two weddings over the last week: James & Jo in Oswestry, followed by Andrew & Loren at Sandhole Oak Barn near Congleton. Since I don’t have any processing software on the laptop that we use in the UK (it’s just there for backups etc.) I can’t do my normal wedding posts and show off some images at the moment. However, check back over the next couple of days for normal service – once we’re home :) – Andy

Wedding photographer: Grand Hotel des Bains, Riccione, Emilia-Romagna, Italy: Dan & Sheila

Andy & Amy were the wedding photographers at Grand Hotel des Bains, Riccione, Emilia-Romagna, Italy for the wedding of Dan & Sheila.

We’re on the road again for two more weddings and I was aware of the need to update the blog for Dan & Sheila’s wedding last Saturday.  I’ve brought some images with me for this blog post – here’s hoping there are no snags uploading them without my normal software etc!

It was 36C when we stepped out of our car in Riccione for Dan & Sheila’s wedding.  Fortunately the ceremony at a local church was a little later in the afternoon and by the time everyone arrived at Grand Hotel des Bains  after the church service, it had cooled to a more comfortable, albeit still pretty-warm, temperature.  The guests (and us!) were entertained by Marco Marconi, Sally Ann (singing) & Marco’s brother (on trumpet) during the apperitivi around the pool and afterwards by Marco solo on the piano during the meal.

Dan – looking surprisingly cool despite the heat & suit!

Lovely Sheila – always laughing or smiling.

Love the light & angle here.

This one is a lovely moment not just for the happy couple but I also love the hug in the background.

The beautiful Hotel and its pool-side setting for apperitivi.

One of the flower girls never took her eye off the dog during that entire part of the day.

First dance. In case you’re wondering, that’s the bottom of the swimming pool in the roof above their heads. Fortunately, the best-men behaved and didn’t spring any surprises involving those windows :)

They did however do their best to humiliate Dan with their speeches with some particularly hilarious photographs.

Finally, the guests dancing away as the night drew to a close for us. Some crazy moves going on here :)

What a great day it was. We eventually got home at 2.45am, completely exhausted but really happy with what we’d managed to capture. Next stop the UK – no doubt it’s not going to be quite so warm! – Andy

Wedding photographer: Villa Aminta, Stresa, Lake Maggiore, Italy: Simon & Victoria

Amy & Andy were the wedding photographers at Villa Aminta, Stresa, Lake Maggiore, Italy for the wedding of Simon & Victoria.

Of the 3 main Italian Lakes, Lake Maggiore is the smallest and quietest but certainly equals Garda and Como in beauty. The northern part of the Lake is actually in Switzerland and the largest lake-side town on the western shore is Stresa. This was the location for Simon and Vix’s wedding last Saturday at Villa Aminta, a wonderfully elegant Villa on the northern edge of the town – oh it’s tough being a wedding photographer sometimes!

The wedding ceremony took place on the lake-side garden and a wonderful Italian spread of champagne and canapes followed on the terrace at the front of the hotel before the guests made their way into the beautiful dining room for dinner. A particular highlight of their day for us was one of the most hilarious best man’s speeches that we have ever heard. We’re surprised that any photographs during the speech are in focus as we were shaking with laughter throughout!  On with the images:

A very proud father.

What a setting!

Simon & Vix really didn’t stop smiling all day.

You had to be there!

We love photographing confetti shots from 2 different angles.  The results are great from both!

Simon and Vix make their entrance: this was captured just as the were announced and the guests began to stand.  This is a photograph that’s normally impossible to take as the minute everyone stands up, you lose sight of the couple entering the room.

Still smiling!

This little girl, Amber had everyone in hysterics as she boogied the night away!

We’re back on the road – but not to far this time, for Dan & Sheila’s wedding in Riccione.  Ciao!
